BRAZIL
1. Bauxite, gold, iron ore, manganese, nickel, phosphate, platinum, tin, uranium, petroleum, hydro power and timber.
2.Characterized by a large and well-developed agricultural, mining, manufacturing, and service sectors? Also some of their main employers would be under the category of automobiles, steel, petrochemicals, computers and even aircraft.
3. The consumer makes the economic decision. The consumer can choose what he buys and can even change the company's production line e.g. end Holden monaro production and bring out torana.
4.Brazil's largest company would be petrobras it is an oil and gas company. It would be capital intensive because it is a very expensive business to run, e.g gas tanks, trucks for exportation of gas/oil and machinery to get the gas/oil.
5. Brazil may have many poor areas like slums and such but it has been known to use advanced machinery because of its large(successful) businesses like gas/oil, utilities and various material businesses.
6. The main economic problem in Brazil would be that the population below the poverty line is 31% that is very high. This may effect the economy because there may be less people working and the businesses that use labour-intensive will be less successful, therefore going out of business and then putting other citizens into the poverty because they now have no jobs! So far there is being not much done to change the people's situation. I am sure they are thinking of something now because this poverty problem can ruin alot of businesses in brazil therefore declining its profit.
7. Brazil is a further developing country and it has many good things to come to it, Australia is developed yet is still arising in size and technology, we are a fast growing community and we have many years to gain money and further our profit. It is also very different, we have a very low amounts of poverty(compared to Brazil) and the is no such thing as slums in australia. Brazil is a labour county though because they have a high population working in places such as farmes and factories!

Economy of Western Australia
What are the main goods and services of W.A. economy?
Western Australia has the largest output of any state, with with its large exportation of mining and petroleum commodities especially iron, alumina, natural gas, nickel and also gold. W.A has the biggest open cut gold mine is W.A.! We do not contribute to the food exports as much as various countries but our mining and such makes up for it.
Which regions produce whats kinds of goods and services?
The Kimberley region has many goods and services such as pearling,diamonds,oil and gas. Small amounts of zinc and lead is also mined. Indigenous art was also performed there. Lots of agriculture is involved.
To the left is a picture of Kalgoorlie, it is the largest open cut goldmine in Australia. There is also a large argyle diamond mine in the north west.
What are the strengths and weaknesses of the economy?
STRENGTHS- We export many precious materials that are rare yet found abundantly in Western Australia. We have many refining plants and industrial areas, to get a faster and more efficient exportation.
WEAKNESSES- Our weakness would be that we do not have enough exports of variety, we may have many rare substances but they are less essential.Imports from other countries are always necessary and very expensive and time consuming.

How is Western Australia's economy changing?
We are running out of resources slowly of coarse like any other, but mainly we are pulling in alot of needed money which is used on buildings and improvement of our society.Example: Perth is now a centre for banking and finance(which it never was),it includes many major banks like common wealth, national Australia bank, west pack and ANZ.

Hybrid Spider Monkey
HYBRID SPIDER MONKEY
Habitat- They live in very main rainforests as well as riverines and semi-dicidous areas. They like big, old trees so it cinfines itself onto high tree areas. Its found mainly in Brazil, colombia, ecuador, peru and venezuela.
What would happen to ecosystem if spider monkey dies- large amounts of forest would go wild and grow out of control from monkeys not eating their usual surroundings. They are food also for many predators so they may be at threat of extinction. The hyrbrid spider monkey eats birds eggs and insects so those, populations may florish.
Cause of habitat loss- humans introduced, which brings land derteariation for houses and farms. Hybrid spider monkeys are hunted for thier meat and fur for show and warmth. Humans harvest there crops, the crops are the food for the monkey so they have to move to unknown areas.
How to improve number of species- we could breed them in captivity and then let them into the wild when the species is ready, make wildlife preserves so they are protected from hunters and loss of land, build around their areas instead of through.
